The concept of lolita is continuing to interest me.
The two Lolita films:
- the use of fashion to suggest both innocence and sexuality
- the way a young girl is turned into a sexual object without having it shown explicitly
- the 1950s setting and the translation of Lolita as a sex symbol in the 1950s and present day
Lolita in the rest of fashion:
- Lolita subcultures
- Obsession with the Lolita image. Just today I looked at Oyster magazine again and realised the cover shoot it titled Lolita.
